South Windsor Leaf Disposal Site to Open to Public

The following is a release from the town of South Windsor:

The leaf compost site at the Town Garage will open on Oct. 12 to the public to dispose of leaves. The site will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week. Residents are reminded leaves and leaves only are to be dropped off. If leaves are in biodegradable bags they can be disposed of directly into the compost pile. Leaves in plastic bags will have to be emptied and the empty bags disposed of in the barrels provided on the drop off site. The compost site will be open until Dec. 28 when it will close until the spring.
