South Windsor Little League Team's Run Ends in State Final
Fairfield American sweeps South Windsor to advance to regional tournament.
The South Windsor Little League team’s postseason run came to an end at the hands of Fairfield American this weekend.
Fairfield American swept the weekend series to claim the state championship and advance to the New England Regional Tournament in Bristol.
South Windsor (12-2) was in the state final for the first time since 1999. Current coach Steve Curtis was a member of that 1999 team.

On its way to the title game, South Windsor went 6-0 in pool play and defeated Somers 4-1 to claim the District 8 championship. South Windsor then beat Killingly and Colchester in the sectional tournament before edging Madison 9-8 in eight innings last Thursday.
