South Windsor Man Charged for 100 MPH, 4-Town Motorcycle Chase
A South Windsor man has been charged for a wild 3-town motorcycle escapade, state police said.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A 26-year-old South Windsor man was arrested Saturday and charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, interfering and eight motor vehicle violations for a March 25 motorcycle chase that exceeded 100 mph at times in parts of four towns, state police said.
Austin Conran was arrested by South Windsor police and turned over to state police.
He first encountered state police on Interstate-84 in Tolland, according to a warrant. A trooper was on a speed enforcement detail and a motorcycle when by him at a estimated 120 mph, according to a warrant.

It was 4:30 in the afternoon and the bike was weaving in and out of traffic, according to a warrant. Startled drivers were swerving and applying their brakes, according to a warrant.
Conran made his way off Exit 67, then traveled on Route 31 in Vernon to the westbound side of Route 44 in Tolland and Coventry, where he was going at a 100 mph clip with about 20 vehicles pulled to the shoulder, according to a warrant.

Police dash cam video showed the bike had no registration. Conran later pulled into a private driveway on Skinner Road in Bolton and told a resident who confronted him that he was looking for gas to get away from police, according to a warrant. He also said to the resident, according to a warrant, that, "I usually take my plate off when I know I'm gonna drive like an (expletive), so the cops won't catch me."
He then fled through some farmland, according to a warrant.
State police eventually identified the driver as Conran and applied for a warrant. He is due in court on May 14 after posting a $20,000 bond, state police said.
