South Windsor Man Charged with DUI, was More Than 3 Times Over Legal Limit: Police

The man was arrested early Monday morning.

A South Windsor man faces drunk driving charges after police say he was more than three times over the legal limit early Monday morning.

Joseph Lodge, 32, of Strong Road, was pulled over at about 1:30 a.m. for a motor vehicle violation. The officer suspected Lodge was under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested following a series of roadside sobriety tests.

Police said a subsequent breath test found that Lodge’s blood alcohol was more than three times the legal limit.

Lodge was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, failure to drive in proper lane and a stop sign violation. He was later released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on April 13.
