South Windsor Man Charged with Identity Theft

The man was arrested on a warrant for allegedly stealing an acquaintance's credit cards.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT – A South Windsor man faces several charges for allegedly stealing an acquaintance’s credit cards, according to police.

South Windsor Police arrested Joshua Rivera, 27, of 52 Peach Tree Lane, on a warrant on March 3.

Rivera was charged with illegal use of a credit card, credit card theft, sixth-degree larceny and second-degree identity theft.

Police said Rivera’s charges stem from a January 2016 complaint that he’d taken credit cards from an acquaintance and used them without permission.

An arrest warrant was later obtained and served on Thursday.

Rivera was released on a $2,500 surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on March 17.
