South Windsor Man Charged With Manslaughter In Brother's Death
A South Windsor man has been charged with manslaughter in the death of his brother, police said.

SOUTH WINDSOR — A patient in a mental health facility has been charged with first-degree manslaughter for a nearly two-year-old violent incident involving brothers in South Windsor, police said.
South Windsor police investigators on Tuesday went to the Connecticut Valley Hospital, where they arrested 29-year-old Daniel Epstein, according to a report. A $1 million bond was fastened to the first-degree manslaughter charge and Epstein was to be arraigned in Manchester Superior Court hours later.
Police said the charge against Epstein, a South Windsor resident, stems from an August 2017 death investigation at 178 Palmer Drive.

The other resident, Daniel Epstein, his brother, was located a short time later at a relative’s home on Brian Road, according to a report.
Daniel Epstein was transported to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation and has remained "confined to hospitals" until his arrest Tuesday, according to a report.
Detectives eventually obtained an arrest warrant for Daniel Epstein for the death of his brother.
