South Windsor Man Charged With Second DUI After Route 5 Stop
Police said the 39-year-old was driving erratically before failing field sobriety tests.
SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A South Windsor man is facing a second DUI charge after police say he was seen driving erratically near a busy local intersection.
Ryan A. Poulin, 39, of South Windsor, was arrested Feb. 17 after officers stopped his vehicle in the area of Route 5 and Sullivan Avenue, according to a news release from the South Windsor Police Department.
Police said Poulin was operating a motor vehicle when officers observed him driving erratically. During the traffic stop, officers believed he was under the influence of alcohol. Poulin agreed to take standardized field sobriety tests and subsequently failed them, police said.

He was charged with operating under the influence (second offense), failure to drive in the proper lane, and operating a motor vehicle with unsafe tires.
Poulin was taken into custody, processed, and later released on a $2,500 surety bond. He is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on March 9 at 9 a.m., police said.
