South Windsor Obituary: Gerald Hargrave II, 54

Gerald R. Hargrave II, of South Windsor, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Fresh River Health Care in East Windsor.

Jerry was born in Oneida, NY on May 19, 1963 to Norma (Butler) Hargrave and the late Gerald R. Hargrave. Jerry was a graduate of Cheney Tech and worked for Woodcock while going to school to learn HVAC. He was a Patriots fanatic and enjoyed RC cars in his younger years, he would also be found 4-wheeling in Jeeps with his brother, James.

Jerry is survived by his mother, Norma Hargrave and boyfriend, Gordon Arenburg; his brother, James Hargrave; nieces, Chantel Layer and Deanna McCoy; great niece, Ellie Darlene Layer; along with many cousins. Aside from his father, Jerry is predeceased by his wife, Keri (Volz) Hargrave, his sister Darlene McCoy.

Calling hours are being held Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor, from 4 to 7 pm with service at the funeral home at 7 pm. Burial will be private at the request of his family.
