
Louise E. (Giordese) Ferreira, 88, of South Windsor, beloved wife of the late John M. Ferreira died peacefully on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was born on May 27, 1929 in Providence, RI, daughter of the late Harry C. and Edith (Hudson) Giordese. Louise grew up in Cranston, RI. She was married to the love of her life, John M. Ferreira on January 17, 1953 and together they moved to South Windsor in 1972.
Louise had several jobs throughout her life including with Bulova Watch, Dynamic Controls and the U.S. Postal Service. She was a kind, caring, loving and devoted mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She will be dearly missed.

She leaves her children, John R. Ferreira and his wife Kathy of Stafford Springs, Nicholas C. Ferreira and his wife Sharon of South Windsor, and Elaine L. Czarnecki and her husband Steven of East Windsor; her brother, George Giordese and his partner Joe Gregoire of E. Hartford; her sisters, Dorothy Higham and her husband Edmund of Cranston, RI, and Evelyn Cudworth of Cranston, RI; 14 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings, Harry, Nicholas, and Patricia.
Her family will receive friends on Friday, February 9, 2018, from 4-7 p.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor. Family and friend may gather on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 9-10 a.m., at the funeral home followed by a funeral procession to the Bethany Baptist Church in Broad Brook, for a funeral service to begin at 11am. Burial will follow at Wapping Cemetery in South Windsor.
