South Windsor Obituary: Richard Belliveau, Jr., 54

Richard G. Belliveau Jr., 54, of South Windsor, died unexpectedly while at home.

Richard was born in Hartford, the son of Dorothy Belliveau and the late Richard G. Belliveau Sr. Richard was self-employed as a mason in Myrtle Beach for the past twenty years. He returned to South Windsor two years ago to provide home healthcare for his mother.

Richard was an avid sports fan. He loved to play baseball, basketball and enjoyed skiing in his younger years, he continued to follow his favorite sports teams in later life. He was a devout New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys fan.

In addition to his mother Dorothy, Richard leaves behind his daughter Nicole Messier, his sister Marlene Belliveau and her husband Robert McOmber of Tolland, and his granddaughter Paityn.

Richard’s family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, September 1, 2017 at Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home 419 Buckland Rd. South Windsor with a memorial service to follow at 12:00 PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
