
Robert “Bob” Lester Fregeau, 85, of South Windsor, beloved husband of Kathleen (Arnold) Fregeau, died peacefully on Monday, December 18, 2017 surrounded by family and friends.
Bob was born in Troy, NY and he grew up and lived in Springfield, MA, and East Hampton before moving to South Windsor a year and a half ago. He earned his degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Massachusetts, and held various engineering positions at Pratt and Whitney, and was marketing director for ABS Solutions. Also, an inventor, entrepreneur, and pilot, Bob lived life pursuing his curiosities and exploring.
A true mentor, with compassion and wisdom abound, he leaves behind a legacy of countless accomplishments. His love for aviation led him to be associated with, and ultimately President of the Bradley Air Museum. During this time, many of his projects involved restoration of several of the museum aircraft. His ability led him to be involved with Matty Liard and General Jimmy Doolittle on their Laird Super Solution project.

He loved flying RC planes, however, his real passion was balsa work construction. He will be missed.
In addition to his wife Kathleen, he is survived by his two sons, Bob Fregeau, and Richard Fregeau and his wife Jennafer, four grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was predeceased by his daughter, Nancy Kim Telab of Lodi, CA, and his sister, Jeanne Washko of Ashford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Bob’s memory may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, P. O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014.
His family will receive friends for memorial calling hours on Friday, December 22, 2017 from 12 to 1 p.m. followed by a service beginning at 1 p.m. at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor.
