South Windsor Police Announce DUI Checkpoint Results
A sobriety checkpoint was held Friday night on John Fitch Blvd.

A sobriety checkpoint was held on John Fitch Blvd. at I-291 in South Windsor on Friday, Aug. 21.
South Windsor Police Officers hosted officers from other towns participating in Metro Traffic Services. Officers made one arrest for Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol, issued 7 Misdemeanor Summonses, 36 Infraction Tickets, and 6 Written Warnings.

Thirteen vehicles were towed for violations, 12 Child Safety Seat Inspections were conducted, 7 tickets were issued for Seatbelt violations, and 6 tickets were issued for Possession of Marijuana.
Metro Traffic Services is a regional partnership for traffic safety which includes South Windsor, Manchester, Coventry, Windsor, Enfield, East Windsor, Vernon, Glastonbury, Windsor Locks, and Bloomfield.
