South Windsor Police Arrest Women For Alleged Credit Card Theft

Two Hartford women are accused of using a credit card from a purse they found.

South Windsor Police arrested two Hartford women for allegedly using a credit card from a purse they found and using it at several area businesses.

Lauren Haley, 20, of 196 Sigourney Street in Hartford, and Kaiyahlis Cruz, 24, of 196 Sigourney Street in Hartford, were both arrested on warrants on Sept. 22. They were charged with fifth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit credit card theft, and two counts of conspiracy to commit illegal use of a credit card.

Police said that Haley and Cruz’ charges stem from an incident in which they found a purse and removed a credit card, using it at several Hartford businesses. Officers later identified the women based on surveillance video at those businesses and obtained arrests for them.
