South Windsor Police Arrests Include Larceny, Interfering with an Officer Charges
Recent arrests by the South Windsor Police Department.

Sixth-Degree Larceny:
On Friday, Dec. 18, South Windsor Police responded to a shoplifting complaint at a Buckland Road retail store.

Store staff told police that a man had left with $362 worth of merchandise and provided officers with the suspect’s license plate number. Officers located the man and later arrested him.
Jason Bessette, 32, of 5 Brighton Lane, Vernon, was arrested on a charge of sixth-degree larceny. Bessette was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Jan. 7.

Interfering with an Officer:
On Saturday, Dec. 19, at about 1:30 a.m., a South Windsor Police officer stopped a vehicle on Sullivan Avenue for a violation.
The operator initially provided officers with the name of a different person, claiming he didn’t have identification with him.
Officers later determined the man was wanted by Bristol Police on an arrest warrant and his true identity was confirmed.
Officers arrested the man, Eric Daring, 38, of 45 Wapping Avenue, South Windsor, on charges of interfering with an officer, operating a motor vehicle without a license, and failure to have tail lamps. Daring was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Jan. 7. He was then turned over to the Bristol Police Department.
Failure to Appear in the Second degree/Motor Vehicle Violations:
On Saturday, Dec. 19, at about 1:30 a.m., a South Windsor Police officer stopped a vehicle on Miller Road for a violation. The officer learned the operator was wanted on a re-arrest warrant and the car smelled of burnt marijuana.
Officers arrested the man, Matthew Dziedziak, 27, of 23 West Shore Drive, Enfield. He was charged with second-degree failure to appear, operating a motor vehicle while suspended, no insurance, possession of marijuana (less than ½ ounce), failure to display plate and failure to have stop lamps.
Dziedziak was held on $1,000 surety bond and was scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Dec. 21.
