South Windsor Police Charge Man with Drinking While Driving

A 24-year-old man faces DUI charges following a motor vehicle stop early Tuesday morning.

A motor vehicle stop led to the arrest of a South Windsor man on DUI charges early Tuesday morning.

A South Windsor police officer stopped a vehicle on Rye Street for a violation at about 1 a.m.

The officer suspected the operator was under the influence of alcohol. Following a series of roadside sobriety tests officers arrested the man, Matthew Miller, 24, of 39 Alison Road.

Miller was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drinking while operating a motor vehicle and failure to drive in proper lane.

Miller was later released on a $2,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Feb. 22.
