South Windsor Police Charge Woman with Fleeing Scene of Accident
The woman is accused of striking a utility pole on Ellington Road.

South Windsor police have charged an East Hartford woman with striking a utility pole and fleeing the scene.
Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Ellington Road on Monday.
Police said a vehicle had struck a utility pole and fled the area. Officers later located the vehicle and arrested the operator, Mima Vasquez-Contreras, 25, of 452 Burnside Avenue in East Hartford.

Vasquez-Contreras was charged with evading responsibility and motor vehicle license violations. She was later released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court later this month.
