South Windsor Police Investigate Armed Robbery
The suspect escaped despite a canine tracking team's efforts.

South Windsor police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Route 30 Tuesday evening.
Police first began investigating after an armed robbery was reported at The Oakland Express convenience store at 249 Oakland Rd around 7:15 p.m.
A man wearing jeans, a dark-hooded sweatshirt and mask displayed a knife to a clerk and fled with an undetermined amount of cash, according to police.

The suspect fled east on Oakland Road toward Wapping Plaza. A canine team attempted to track the suspect, but didn’t have success.
Police ask anyone who may have noticed something suspicious at the store or plaza or who may have information to contact them at 860-644-2551.
