Details On Recent Arrests In South Windsor
Authorities reported charges ranging from ID theft to OUI and retail larceny.
SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — South Windsor police reported several arrests in recent days tied to separate investigations involving alleged identity theft, drug possession and retail larceny.
In one case, officers responded on Feb. 13 at 2:52 p.m. to American Eagle Federal Credit Union, 530 Buckland Road, after staff reported a woman attempting to withdraw money from a victim’s account using a fake identification card.
Police said the suspect, later identified as Anna V. Hardee, 47, of Brooklyn, New York, was allegedly wearing a wig and tried to withdraw $1,500 from the account. She was taken into custody and charged with criminal attempt at fourth-degree larceny, second-degree identity theft and second-degree forgery. Hardee was released on a $10,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on March 4 at 9 a.m.

Later that afternoon, at 4:48 p.m., officers responded to a parking lot on Sullivan Avenue for a welfare check after receiving reports of a woman unresponsive in the driver’s seat of a vehicle.
Police said Malgorzata Golas, 49, of South Windsor, was found in the vehicle and appeared to be under the influence of narcotics. She consented to standardized field sobriety tests and subsequently failed them, according to police. Officers said they recovered 0.5 grams of crack cocaine, 37 wax folds containing fentanyl and drug paraphernalia.

Golas was charged with operating under the influence, possession of a controlled substance and use of drug paraphernalia. She was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and is also due in Manchester Superior Court on March 4 at 9 a.m.
In a separate matter, police said Marissa A. Polechronis, 34, of Falmouth, Massachusetts, was arrested Feb. 17 at 12 a.m. on two active warrants tied to larceny investigations at Target, 125 Buckland Hills Drive.
According to police, the charges stem from two incidents in late December 2025 and early January 2026 in which she allegedly stole $172.04 and $161.69 worth of merchandise. Polechronis was taken into custody by East Hartford police and transferred to South Windsor police custody. She was charged with two counts of sixth-degree larceny and released on a $2,000 non-surety bond.
She is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on March 4 at 9 a.m.
