South Windsor Police Thanksgiving Weekend Activity Stats
Police release activity statistics from Thanksgiving weekend.

As part of an initiative by the Connecticut Police Chiefs Association, the South Windsor Police Department tracks its Thanksgiving weekend activity and officials released those stats on Tuesday.
For the period of beginning at 12 noon on Wednesday, Nov. 25 until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 29, police responded to 281 calls for service, 5 accidents and made 74 traffic stops.
Police said those numbers do not include the activity from Friday’s “Click It or Ticket” checkpoint, where officers issued: 18 infractions tickets for seatbelt violations, 13 tickets for cell phone use, 8 tickets for miscellaneous other violations and made one drug arrest.

Officers also cited one motorist for an uninsured car and one operator for having a suspended license.
