South Windsor Police Warn Residents of Recent Burglaries

Police are asking residents to be vigilant in reporting any suspicious activity, persons, or vehicles near vacant homes.

The South Windsor Police Department is requesting the assistance of town residents to be vigilant in reporting any suspicious activity, persons, or vehicles near vacant homes in light of a string of residential burglaries that have taken place seen early August.

The South Windsor Police Department is investigating numerous residential burglaries that have occurred since early August. Many of these crimes have occurred while the homeowners were on vacation; however others have occurred during hours of darkness while homeowners were asleep.

Residents are encouraged to be vigilant about securing their houses and condominiums, locking doors and using exterior lighting and alarm systems.

We advise neighbors to watch over other neighbors’ homes if they are out of town for an extended period of time.

Residents are requested to report any suspicious persons or suspicious vehicles immediately via 911. Anyone with information about possible suspects may call our anonymous tip line at 860-648-NABM(6226) or dispatch at 860-644-2551.
