South Windsor Public Education Fund Committee Announces Three New Grants

The South Windsor Public Education Fund Committee of the South Windsor Community Foundation recently announced the awarding of three grants to South Windsor public schools.

The three grants total $8,290 and are for:

• Pleasant Valley Elementary School: $1,300 - Mary Ann McAndrew for an artist in residency, “Lights, Camera, Action” a study of the camera obscura
• SWHS: $4,990 - Deb Field for an artist in residency, Science - “Design in Nature Field Study” pilot program
• South Windsor School District, ELL Program: $2,000 - Nicole Papa for “Parents as Educational Partners.”
