South Windsor Registrar of Voters Offers Extended Hours for Registration

Office will have extended hours for three days until the deadline on Oct. 30.

The South Windsor registrars of voters office has seen a significant increase in voter registration over the last several months.

According to Democratic Registrar of Voters Sue Larsen, the number of registered voters in South Windsor has increased by over 550, from 15,100 to about 15,650 since August.

The increase, Larsen said, is due to the Presidential election. The voters rolls normally would have increased by about 100 over a similar period of time in non-Presidential election years, Larsen said.

Due to the steady stream of traffic, the South Windsor registrar of voters office will have the following extended hours:

  • Saturday (today), Oct. 20: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Thursday, Oct. 25: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Oct. 30: 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.

All other weekdays until Oct. 30 - the deadline to register other than special exceptions - the office of the registrar of voters will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
