South Windsor Road Closures on Tap for Hartford Marathon

Several local road closures will be in effect for Saturday's Hartford Marathon.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT —The South Windsor Police Department Traffic Unit is reminding motorists that, on Saturday, the Hartford Marathon will be traveling through South Windsor and that means some local roads will be temporarily closed.

The race route travels through parts of King Street and Main Street, police said.

Roadways in the course will be closed to all traffic from approximately 8 a.m. to approximately 2 p.m., police said.

Police are suggesting that residents park their vehicles on Chapel Road, Pleasant Valley Road, Newberry Road,Governors Highway, Strong Road and Sullivan Avenue if they wish to leave the area after the race route is closed.
