South Windsor Sets Christmas Tree Collection Schedule
The first collection begins Jan. 5.

Special collections for the purpose of recycling whole Christmas trees have been scheduled.
The first Christmas trees collection will begin the week of Monday, January 5, 2015.

The last Christmas trees collection will begin the week of Monday, January 19, 2015.
The collection will be on your refuse collection day of this week; this includes Plum Ridge Condominiums. Trees must be placed at the curb for collection by 7:00 a.m. There will be one pass per street.

The collection for all other Condominiums will be only on Friday, January 9, 2015 and Friday, January 23, 2015. Trees should be placed at the designated sites by 7:00 am on the day of the collection.
For those who cannot wait until January 5, 2015 or miss the special pickups, Christmas trees can be collected with refuse if branches are trimmed back 8 inches from the stem, and tree lengths do not exceed 4 feet. Please place branches inside plastic bags, and place bags and stem in the refuse container.

NOTE: Trees placed in plastic bags will not be collected.
