South Windsor Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Charges
A traffic stop led to drug charges against two East Hartford residents, South Windsor police said.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A traffic stop led to drug charges against two East Hartford residents, South Windsor police said.
At 9:21 p.m. on Feb 7, South Windsor police arrested Andre J. Jorden, 23, and Deveon V. Tran, 26, both of East Hartford, after a traffic stop, according to a report.
The "odor of marijuana" prompted a search of the vehicle and police located 23 grams of marijuana, a digital scale, $630 in U.S. currency, and a plastic bag containing one white pill, later determined to be acetaminophen and Oxycodone hydrochloride, a report indicates.

Jorden had no prescription for the Oxycodone pill and had lied about his age and date of birth, police said.
He also had three active arrest warrants for violation of probation, police said.

Jorden was taken into custody for the warrants and was also charged with possession of a controlled substance and interfering with an officer. Jorden was held on a total of $70,000 in surety bonds, police said.
Tran, the operator of the vehicle, was charged with the possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession with intent to sell. Tran was released on a $5,000 surety bond, police said.
