South Windsor Woman Arrested on DUI Charges

A South Windsor woman was recently arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated and striking a parked dump truck.

Laura Daiello, 51, of 1648 Main Street in South Windsor, was arrested Oct. 3 on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving and failure to drive in proper lane.

South Windsor police were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at about 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 3. Police said that a vehicle had struck a parked dumped truck but there were no injuries. Officers suspected the female operator (Daiello) was under the influence of alcohol.

Following a series of roadside sobriety tests, officers arrested Daiello.

She was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and was scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Oct. 20.
