South Windsor Woman Charged With Possession of Marijuana

Police say the noticed the smell of burnt marijuana coming from her vehicle.

On Thursday, May 21 at about 5:30 p.m. a South Windsor Police officer stopped a vehicle on Avery Street for a violation.

During the course of the roadside interview the officer detected the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the car, police said.

During a search of the car officers located a small amount of marijuana and several prescription narcotic medications that were not in an original container, police said.

Officers arrested the woman, Tiana Farina, 24, of 742 Pleasant Valley Road, South Windsor.

She was charged with possession of narcotics not in original container and possession of less than ½ ounce of marijuana. She was later released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on June 4, 2015.
