South Windsor's Vander Vos Enjoys Record-Setting Week for SCSU Men's Swimming and Diving Team
Tyler Vander was named the Northeast-10's Rookie of the Week for his efforts.
South Windsor’s Tyler Vander Vos enjoyed a banner week for the Southern Connecticut State University men’s swim last week.
Vander Vos, a freshman on the team, captured four Northeast-10 championships and set three new NE-10 records in helping the Owls claim their fifth straight NE-10 championship on Feb. 8.
For his efforts, Vander Vos was named the NE-10’s Rookie of the Week.

He won the 200-yard freestyle, the 500-yard freestyle, and was a member of the winning 400 and 800 yard freestyle relay teams. In addition, he was a member of the fourth-place 200-yard medley relay team, the third-place 400-yard medley relay team, and placed third in the 200 yard backstroke.
