Timothy Edwards Middle School Field Hockey Plays for the Cure
TEMS and Stafford raised $2,100 to raise awareness for breast cancer.

On a beautiful fall afternoon on Oct. 17, the Timothy Edwards Middle School field hockey team played Stafford Middle School and there was a sea of pink of the field.
Sporting pink knee socks, and their “Play for the Cure” T-shirts, the young middle schoolers raised over $2,100 for Breast Cancer Awareness.
Under the direction of coaches Sally Custer and Jen Hall, the team of 44 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls held a bake sale and raffle to raise money and create awareness for breast cancer.

Nationally, many “Play for the Cure” games take place among high school and middle school teams through the month of October.
The TEMS field hockey team has been raising funds for breast cancer for the last several years and each year the girls look forward to the part they play in helping to find a cure to beat breast cancer.
Congratulations to these fine young girls “playing for a cure”.
