Walden Center Conference to Focus On Treatment of Binge Eating Disorder

Free Conference To Focus On the Most Common Eating Disorder

Walden Center for Education and Research announced today that it will sponsor a free conference, “Binge Eating Disorder: Medical, Nutritional & Psychotherapeutic Interventions,” from 7:30 a.m. to noon on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Maneeley’s Banquet Facility, 65 Rye St.

“Binge eating disorder is the most common eating disorder, yet medical professionals often aren’t sure how to treat patients who have it,” according to James M. Greenblatt, M.D., Chief Medical Officer at Walden Behavioral Care. “We’ve designed this conference to provide a broad range of healthcare professionals with the information they need about medical, nutritional and psychotherapeutic treatment.”

The conference will feature two presentations. Dr. Greenblatt will discuss, “Food Addiction: The Biology of Appetite and Binge Eating Disorder,” and Laurel Watt-Aldredge, Psy.D., a licensed psychologist with a private practice in Holliston, Mass., will discuss, “Therapeutic Interventions for the Treatment of Binge Eating Disorder.”
