Woman Charged with DUI in South Windsor
The woman was arrested following a motor vehicle stop early Monday morning.

South Windsor Police charged a Middletown woman with DUI following a motor vehicle stop early Monday morning.
A South Windsor police officer stopped a vehicle on Buckland Road for a violation around 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 28.
Police suspected that the operator was under the influence of alcohol, according to Deputy Chief Scott Custer.

Following a series of roadside sobriety tests, officers arrested the woman, Ami Bhatt, 34, of 185 Dove Lane, Middletown. She was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, operating a vehicle with a suspended license, and failure to have lamps lit.
Bhatt was later released on a $1,500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Oct. 19.
