Woman Charged with Shoplifting in South Windsor

The woman is accused of stealing clothes from a store after employees had given her a trespass warning.

South Windsor Police have charged a Hartford woman with stealing clothes at an Evergreen Walk store after employees had given her a trespass warning.

Police arrested Natalie Benjamin, 37, of 798 Capitol Avenue, on an arrest warrant on Sept. 23 and charged her with first-degree criminal trespass and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.

Benjamin’s charges stem from a March 2015 incident in which she was seen in a store at Evergreen Walk after employees had given her a trespass warning, according to Deputy Chief Scott Custer.

Store staff saw her take $100 worth of clothing from the store without paying. Benjamin had left the area prior to the police being called.

Officers later obtained an arrest warrant for Benjamin which was served last Wednesday.
