Wrong Way Driver Charged with DUI
A woman was arrested after South Windsor Police saw her driving the wrong way on Route 5.
A Bristol woman was arrested on DUI charges after a South Windsor police officer saw her driving the wrong way on Route 5 around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Officers stopped the vehicle and suspected the operator was under the influence of alcohol.
Following a series of roadside sobriety tests officers arrested the woman, Jody Ann St. John, 44, of 529 East Road, Bristol. She was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and driving the wrong way on a divided highway.

St. John was released on $1,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Jan. 4.
