You Said It: 'What Was Your Favorite High School Memory?'

South Windsor Patch asked four recent South Windsor High School graduates what their favorite memories of high school were.

The accompanying video was shot at Nomads Adventure Quest during Operation Graduation, an all-night celebration for graduates of South Windsor High School on June 21.

According to organizer Jan Snyder, Operation Graduation, which provides a safe, alcohol- and illegal substance-free environment for graduates, was in its 25th year.

“It’s one of the first of its kind in the state,” Snyder said.

Some 300 kids - or about 92 percent of the graduating class - was expected to attend the event, which went on until 4 a.m.

The $22,000 to $25,000 that the event cost was offset by donations and contributions from parents, businesses, the town and civic groups according to Snyder.

Donations are still being accepted for Operation Graduation. Checks can be made out to “SWOG” and sent to P.O. Box 545, South Windsor, CT 06074.
