• Hyde Park Incident Just The Latest In 2026 For Stafford Resident (patch.com) — Stafford residents are learning more about a local woman who now faces fresh assault and disorderly conduct charges stemming from a June incident at Hyde Park that allegedly turned a picnic into a violent confrontation. State police records show she has been arrested multiple times in 2026, accumulating numerous protective order violations, assault counts, and other charges tied to Stafford-area incidents.
   

• BOF reviews policies, looks to increase unassigned fund balance (staffordfreepress.com) — Stafford's Board of Finance has begun a long-overdue overhaul of the town's financial policies, focusing on how bank accounts are opened and how much cash the General Fund should keep in reserve. Officials are weighing raising the unassigned balance target to 12–17% of the budget and using budgeted contingencies to steadily build reserves, while also debating how capital projects should be funded and governed.
