Car Slams into Island at Stafford Campground

STAFFORD, CT — A Tolland woman was charged with drunken driving after crashing her can into a concrete island in the parking area of a local campground.

The crash involving 59-year-old Suzanne Aude took place Sunday at 8:30 p.m. at the Sun Valley Resort, according to a state police report.

Here eyes were bloodshot and glassy and state police could smell alcohol on her, a report indicates.

She was charged with driving under the influence, state police said.
