Driver Caught Going 118 MPH On I-84 In Willington
State police nabbed a driver at "extreme" speed over the weekend in Willington.
WILLINGTON, CT — An early morning speeder who went whizzing past a state trooper was nabbed on Interstate 84 over the weekend.
At 7:21 in the morning Saturday, a state trooper patrolling the eastbound side of I-84 near Exit 69 observed a blue Hyundai Elantra traveling at an "extremely high rate of speed," and clocked the vehicle at 118 mph, according to an arrest report.
The trooper caught up to the Hyundai, pulled it over and arrested the driver, according to the report.

The 33-year-old from Brooklyn, NY, was charged with reckless driving.
