What does the nominee do for work?
She’s retired from the medical field.
Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
My sister is an avid steamstress and quilter; she has sewn over 400 masks for not only local people, but also fire departments in East Haven, Stafford Springs and Coventry, R.I., where her late son was Battalion Chief. Her other son is also on that same fire department. She just did this out of love and didn’t take money for them. Not only does she make quilts, she sewed her great niece's christening dress out of the mother’s wedding gown. My sister is always willing to do good deeds from her heart. During the Florida hurricane and out of power for a week, she cooked three meals a day for her neighbors every day!! She is in my heart a hero.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?
She recently was asked to submit a quilt for a show and had to donate it after the show. She did a tree of life with color ribbons that represents all types of cancer, including her son's cancer. She then donated the quilt to Hasbro Hospital in Rhode Island in memory of her nephew's fiancée's
brother who passed away at a young age to cancer.
Thank you Delores for all that you do!
