STAFFORD, CT — A truck hit part of a bridge in Stafford over the weekend.

According to a state police crash report, at 8:22 p.m. Sunday, a 2002 Ford 150 pickup with a 31-year-old Stafford man behind the wheel was headed north on Diamond Ledge Road.

The truck suddenly veered off the road and hit a concrete bridge, according to a crash report.

The driver, who was given a warning for a lane violation, escaped injury, state police said.
