SUV Winds Up On Rocks In Stafford Crash
A suspected drunken driver was arrested after a weekend crash in Stafford, state police said.

STAFFORD, CT — An SUV wound up teetering on a rock embankment after a weekend crash in Stafford, state police said.
According to state police arrest and crash reports, at 10:52 p.m. Saturday, troopers were dispatched to the 20 block of Buckley Highway to investigate a blue Hyundai Tuscon that had gone off the road.
When they arrived, the sport utility vehicle was stuck atop a rock embankment, according to the reports.

The driver, a 61-year-old Stafford man who lives just down the road from the crash, was suspected of being drunk and subsequently failed field sobriety tests, according to the reports.
He was charged with driving under the influence, failure to drive upon right and driving an unregistered vehicle.
