Tracking Device Leads To 20 Protective Order Violations In Stafford

STAFFORD, CT — A Stafford man is facing an abundance of charges for violating a court order, state police said.

Sonny Junior Russano, 23, of Stafford was charged with 20 counts of violating a protective order on a warrant.

He posted a $150,000 bond after his arraignment and is due back in Rockville Superior Court on June 1, judicial system records show.

According to an arrest warrant, an estranged friend located a tracking device on her vehicle, which he is accused of later admitting to installing. He had been ordered not to have contact with the person, according to a warrant.

He also made several phone calls and sent several text messages to the person in violation of the order, according to a warrant.
