Police took descriptions of the suspects and learned they were driving a Honda Civic, police said.

"Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit quickly initiated an investigation, leading them to identify the vehicle involved in the robberies. Utilizing city surveillance and tracking methods, detectives confirmed the Honda Civic's presence in the vicinity of all three robbery locations. Further investigation of the vehicle’s history revealed an address in Stamford, prompting police to secure a search warrant," police said.

"On January 26, 2025, Stamford Police executed the search warrant on the vehicle, successfully locating proceeds from the crimes," police said, adding that the suspects were identified as Tortorici and Cuevas.

Tortorici was arrested at his home later that day without incident, police said. The next day, with the help of Adult Probation, the SPD's Narcotics and Organized Crime Squad located and arrested Cuevas at his place of employment, police said.
