2 Stamford High Schools Ranked Among the Top Schools in Connecticut
The Academy of Information Technology and Westhill High School are ranked in the top 100 schools in the state.
Two of Stamford high schools have been ranked in the top 100 high schools in Connecticut, according to a study published by Niche.com, a website that ranks schools across the country.
Niche says the rankings of 14,431 high schools around the country “are based on dozens of key statistics and 4.6 million opinions from 280,000 students and parents. A high ranking indicates that the school is an exceptional academic institution with a diverse set of high-achieving students who rate their experience very highly.”
The Academy of Information Technology (AITE) was ranked 24th in the state and Westhill High came in at No. 93.

Here are the grades AITE received: A+ for Student Culture & Diversity; an A for Teachers, Resources & Facilities, and Health & Safety; a B+ for Academics, and a C for Sports & Fitness.
At Westhill, the grades were: an A for Student Culture & Diversity; a B+ for Extracurriculars & Activities; a B for Sports & Fitness, Teachers, and Academics; a B- for Resources & Facilities, and a C- for Health & Safety.
