2 Stamford Students Named 2018 Horizons Scholars at New Canaan Country School
A total of three students will begin fifth, sixth and eighth grade classes in September.

From Horizons: NEW CANAAN, CT — Christopher Santa of Norwalk, Maria Flores of Stamford and Amira El Hattab of Stamford have been named the 2018 Horizons Scholars at New Canaan Country School.
Horizons, a year-round academic and student enrichment program which annually serves more than 400 students primarily from Stamford and Norwalk, was founded on the campus of New Canaan Country School more than 53 years ago, originally, as a summer program. The three students, who have attended schools in their hometowns during the academic year, have each participated in the Horizons Program during the summers. As the Horizons Scholars, they will now attend New Canaan Country School, entering in September as fifth, sixth and eighth graders, respectively.
In naming Horizons Scholars, the school looks for Horizons students who combine a strong commitment to academic work with an equally strong commitment to character skills.
