Five girls graduated from the Stamford EMS run “Safe Sitter” program last Saturday.
The program aims to prepare young teens with the skills they need to care for young children, including first aid and rescue skills.
“It gives them the life and safety skills they need when they’re home alone, watching their siblings or babysitting,” said Jessica Anderson, Stamford EMS Lieutenant and Academy Training Coordinator. “This program creates more confident babysitters and caregivers.”
