STAMFORD, CT — Students and staff at Turn of River Middle School in Stamford sheltered in place briefly on Wednesday following an altercation on campus, according to Principal Sherri Prendergast.
In a letter to families on May 8, Pendergast said the Stamford Police Department responded to the school on Vine Road on Wednesday morning in response to an altercation during student arrival.
"The SPD’s presence at TOR was in response to an altercation between parents and students who were engaged in a dispute unrelated to Turn of River," Pendergast said.
