Wilson Elser Promotes Two to Partner from the Firm’s Connecticut Office

National law firm Wilson Elser is pleased to announce the promotion of nine attorneys to partner, two of whom work in the firm’s Connecticut office - Eric Niederer and Beata Shapiro.

Eric Niederer handles health care liability, product liability, catastrophic loss and high-exposure matters in state and federal court. In 2011, he was named one of Fairfield County’s “40 under 40” by the Fairfield County Business Journal and in 2012 was named to the “New Leaders in Law” by the Connecticut Law Tribune. He also has been named to the Super Lawyers list of “Rising Stars” 2010-2012. He earned his B.A. from the University of Connecticut (1995) and his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law (2001).
 
Beata Shapiro's practice is focused in defense of claims in the area of transportation law, (including catastrophic injury, cargo damage, freight charges, property damage, and regulatory compliance), product liability, premise liability, and general liability. She handles cases in the state and federal courts of CT, NY, MA, RI, MI, PA, AR, and many other states.  She earned her B.A. from Boston College (2000) and her M.B.A. and J.D. from Northeastern University (2004).
