Apple Store Set To Close At Stamford Mall
An announcement on the company's website indicates the store is set to make "an inspired move" to the SoNo Collection mall in Norwalk.

STAMFORD, CT — Another retailer at the Stamford Town Center mall will be closing its doors next month. An announcement on the Apple website says the Stamford mall store will be making "an inspired move" to the SoNo Collection mall in Norwalk, where a store is set to open on Feb. 15.
Dan Stolzenbach, the mall's general manager, confirmed the closure and said the store's last day will be Feb. 12.
Last month, Patch reported a sign had popped up at the SoNo Collection indicating the arrival of an Apple store.

"We've got something special in store for you," the signs reads. "A brand new Apple Store is coming soon."

Speculation about the arrival of the maker of iPhones, iPads and iMacs to the mall in the fall, when it was revealed that Apple was slated to move into an 8,400 square foot space inside the facility.
Apple has seven Connecticut stores located in Greenwich, Stamford, Danbury, Trumbull, New Haven, Farmington and South Windsor.
Mall officials also recently confirmed to the Stamford Advocate that clothing retailer H&M closed its store on the fifth floor of the shopping center. Shoe retailer Clarks is also planning to close its store on the fifth level and is currently running a clearance sale.
