Aquarion To Begin Water Main Flushing in Stamford

Aquarion Water Company plans to begin its water main cleaning program in Stamford on Tuesday, April 28.

The main cleaning program will continue through Friday, July 3.

Below is information on Aquarion crew locations for the first week of improvement work. The water main cleaning will take place between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

During the cleaning, customers may notice some discoloration in their water. The discoloration results from the temporary disturbance of the water flow, which stirs up naturally occurring minerals that settle in water mains. Aquarion recommends customers store water in their refrigerators for drinking and cooking. Customers should also refrain from washing laundry if water is discolored. Prior to resuming use, customers should run their cold water faucets until the water appears clear.
