Arrest Made In 'Ongoing Investigation,' Stamford Police Say

STAMFORD, CT — The Stamford Police Department announced last Friday an arrestin an "ongoing investigation," but further details were not immediately available.

On Aug. 8 at approximately 4 p.m., the SPD's Major Crimes Unit, in coordination with the Special Response Team, conducted an investigation in the area of Summer Street and Bridge Street, police said.

"As part of this ongoing investigation, led by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation, an arrest was made. The suspect was taken into custody without incident, and no injuries were reported," police added. "At this time, details of the arrest are not being released to protect the integrity of the investigation. Once information can be made public, the Stamford Police Department will provide an official update."
